Oak View Herd
Scooter
Scooter was born April 1, 2002. When Scooter's owners met him, he was extremely untrusting on the ground, and nervous when people got into his space. They couldn’t walk up to him without him wanting to escape. His owners started him on cattle and focused on cutting, giving him a much needed job. In 2008, Scooter fractured his left hind Navicular bone in a paddock accident. After nine months of rehabilitation, it became clear that Scooter could no longer do the job he loved — working cattle. Having overcome mistrust and adversity from prior handling, his owners knew that had a bigger calling. In 2018, Scooter joined the ROH herd and is assisting clients in setting clear boundaries, and learning how to receive love.
